LO 2: explaining the media choises

I have chosen to use these forms of media to advertise my clients boxing gym.

Social Media Images

I have noticed that my client posts on social media his session times every day from his social media account so I have decided to make pictures that incorporate the house style of the gym and will feature a masthead showing the gyms name and incorporating the core values of the gym using famous boxing quotes. this will be effective as my client put the session times on every day and if accompanied by these images it will help establish a strong brand identity.

Print poster

I will also make a print poster because it will be a good use of traditional above the line advertising and can be put up in local establishments to be seen by the target audience in places like local Tesco or school

Audio visual advert

A short audio visual advert will give a keen insight into the gyms dynamic and what the gym offers and will communicate more personally with the audience and be more engaging and also show what boxing is like and entice people in.

My target audience are:


  • people who want to stay or get fit
  • people who like boxing
  • all NRS groups
  • people who are within 10 miles of the gym give or take
  • peopled aged 5-40
