LO:3 Evaluate how the created materials meet the technical and aesthetic requirements of the client’s brief

The client said

I would like an campaign that promotes x box boxing academy gym to the local area and be able to post it on our social media page. the media should show what the gym is about and should show ethos of the gym and in some way show what the gym offers we offer an academy session to ages 12+   6pm-7:30pm, young warriors session for ages 4-12 and a self train session. prices are under 16s £2.50 per session/£5 per week and over 16s are £3 per session and £8 per week. I would also like a short promotional video for our home show boxing event on the 25th May.

Social media images

I made my client an assort of images that he can put on his social media page to advertise the club along side his session times that he posts daily. on the left is one of many examples of the images that i made for my client, these images meet the aesthetical requirements as they have the correct house style colours to fit with the rest of the media i create to make a consistent house style and build brand identity. The media meets the technical requirements as when i reached the point of exporting my images i chose jpg as is a compressed file type so will not be restrictive when uploading it to Facebook.

Poster

I made my client a poster as they wished, this poster meets the required aesthetic requirements as it uses the same house style that is used through out the campaign, this helps to build brand identity. The poster meets the required technical specification as i made it to be 600mm wide and 840mm tall so when it is printed it is the correct size to be usable.

Home show video advert

My client also requested a video highlighting the boxing home show that takes place on the 25th may. i created a very short video they still followed the same house style and colour theme as it has to be consistent though out the campaign, I exported the video as an MP4 so it wouldn't be a very big file and would still be able to upload to Facebook.

Gym video advert

if you follow the link above you will find the full length video that my client asked for to explain the sessions that he offers, times and prices, this video uses the consistent house style that we've already seen and incorporates the ethos of the gym  in the video. On the technical side i exported the video on an mp4 file so it wouldn't take up a large amount of room and could easily be uploaded to Facebook, unfortunately the music isn't copy right free so i would need to get royalties to use that music.

LO3: how my adverts meet the codes and conventions put in place by the ASA and OfCom

ASA

my advertising campaign doesn't infringe on any or the codes and conventions of the asa's rules and codes for example

"4.4

Marketing communications must contain nothing that is likely to condone or encourage violence or anti-social behaviour."

I have followed this rule by only containing any images of boxing in controlled environments i.e. gyms or official events.

Ofcom

I have ensured that my campaign doesn't break any of the codes of Ofcom, for example "To ensure that people under eighteen are protected." to follow this rule I have aimed to not feature any content that may be distressing or upsetting to younger people.
